This light weight handset measures 11mm deep by 46mm wide by 106mm tall in dimensions. The TFT screen comes in 2.0 inches of size, which is empowered with 240 x 320 pixels resolutions. The Nokia 5000 comes from the same family of Nokia 5200. This mobile comes in 24 channels polyphonic ringtones and MP3 tones. This coloured handset comes in dual band facility, which has 2G network with 900 / 1800 GSM frequencies. The phone comes in 12 Mbytes of memory, which allows enough space to store the data. The fully charge battery gives the 336 hours of standby with 4.6 hours of talk time. It is integrated with basic organiser features which are phone-book with 1k contacts, organiser with local calendar, calendar, converter, advanced calculator and hands-free speakers. The photo caller identification feature allows to attach photo with the contacts name. The phonebook option holds the thousand entries contacts with the photocall feature. It keeps the record of 20 dialled, 20 received, 20 missed calls, call record.The advanced local calender feature allows you to check the date and day at any time. Alarm and calculator are the basic and useful features of a mobile phone.

Its connectivity features are Bluetooth technology, GPRS, EGPRS and EDGE technology. The Bluetooth technology allows you to download or transfer the bulky files from other devices. The Bluetooth wireless technology connect the mobile phone to other Bluetooth compatible devices. It gives the cable free connection between two devices.
