Low light Photography Tips & settings by KLR the Photo Guru



Have you ever tried shooting in low-light locations.? Remember camera could see even in darkness when set properly. Low light is an emotion and it should be definitely tried. KLR the photo guru has given some beautiful guidelines to shoot low-light photography through this video. Watch it till the end and enjoy.

All the photos in this video were shot by KLR the photo guru at Zurich, Basel, and Titlis cliffs in Switzerland, Paris, and Colmar in France

Preparations:
02:11 Identify the best vantage point – move around and see
02:11 Being there just at the right time
04:41 Solid Tripod for a firm support
09:32 Remote shutter release or use 10sec time self-timer
For interiors, use wide-angle lens 20mm, 24mm, and 35mm
Safety shoes and dress
Get permission if necessary
Camera settings:
Exposure mode: Manual
06:10 ISO: 400 – 3200 full frame. 400 – 800 for cropped (KLR the photo guru had used ISO 3200 for the 05:31 ICE cave shots at Titlis cliffs – Alps mountain range and ISO 800 for the shots in St, Martin’s church, Colmar

Shutter speed based on the above – For hand-held photography 1/the focal length – increase the 10:41 ISO and fix the noise in the post
11:12 Aperture: F/11 to f/1.4
11:48 Image quality: RAW plus JPEG
White balance: AWB, for warm effects 6000K
AF: Zone AF. AF single point for people shots MF can also be used.
Metering: Evaluative
Picture Style: Landscape
